Deer in the Yard

These are the first deer we've had in our front yard in a long time. Glad to see them back!

Did you depopulate them a bit before?

No depopulation by me in over 30 years. My neighbor probably depopulates some in or out of season. I'd like to keep them around in case I have sudden need of protein.

We have plenty of those, too, in the form of 5-lined Skinks. Don't think I'd care to skin and eat one, though.

Not all the folks from the north want to change things here in the south. We're just fine with what we found here. It was a big part about why we moved. I wouldn't want it to be like what I left.
