We have little need to brand the domestic rabbits we keep in the yard, but we do brand all of the Jackalopes. A fence hasn't been made that will keep them in, so we have to brand them when we do our yearly Jackalope gather in the fall. All of the neighbors get together and we gather each ranch and any stray jackalopes get driven back to their home range to winter there.Originally posted by southernmom View Post

Had to shoot one of the young meat rabbits last night. Found it had a broken leg with a bone sticking out. Horrible infection. They got loose a few days ago and all I can guess is it was stepped on by pony. I was temped to butcher it. But seeing that NASTY infection changed my mind. I don't need to eat an animal with a raging infectionWhats's that smell? Is that me???Comment

Two years ago , on mothers day , I made a blue berry garden for JT. Tonight my daughter and I harvested our first blueberries for JT as a mothersday surprise. We also picked wild growing black berries from our yard too.
