I described Thad to someone when I first started reading the books and they blurted out "kinda sounds like Michael Clark Duncan"

It may be trickier to fit Thad than Sarge. Plenty of crusty old soldiers around.

I've wished we could have David Ramsey (Diggle from Arrow) for Thad. He's big enough, without worrying that he'd have a heart attack before it's over, and at 42, he's young enough to be the father of a ten year old, and the son of someone old enough to just slip away in their sleep. He wouldn't even need to bulk up any, but would look ok if he did.

Just wishful thinking, but I think he's a decent actor.

When I was reading the story, I immediately thought of Thad's character could also be played by Christoper Judge from Stargate SG1 fame. He played the character Teal'c
