Jim Beaver is 65 and a bit too old to play Morgan IMHO.

Jsut as everyone else I've put a little thought into this and have some ideas. Not all good ones mind you, but what the heck. Here they are.

Morgan - Jack Black, Joshua Jackson, Sean Astin
Mel - Leah Remini, Jewel Staite
Thad - Ken Foree, Lawrence Taylor, Boris Kodjoe, Tommy 'Tiny' Lister
Sarge - Kevin Costner, Clancy Brown
    Mike - Lucas Black
    Ted - Jesse Eisenberg
    Doc - James Roday
Jess - I have no idea.
Jamie - Cote de Pablo, Daniela Ruah
    Danny - George Eads
    Jeff - Scott Caan
    Dalton - Eric Christian Olsen

    OUTLANDER!

Joking aside, Ving Rhames is too old and too well known to play Thad. That's like sending Chuck Norris in to star in a Spike Lee movie. You know who he is, but how the hell did he get here and why is Spike Lee suddenly missing? Maybe he got round-housed to death?

And I'm still laying odds that Jim Beaver will play Morgan.

    Welcome to the board, GML.
LOL.. Yes him too... you may be right about the age, but he would still fit the character... & Thanks...

Ya, it needs to be a miniseries . Hell, just that dumb ham radio guy losing his leg needs at least an entire episode to himself . ..

No changes have been asked for yet. But I also left it kind of vague so they can't really say it's aimed at him.

This would make an awesome mini-series or a continuing series. There is so much material in the books and it should be easy enough to find interesting ways to weave some instruction on self sufficiency into each show.

AA, In the most recent books you seemed to point to the current occupant of the White House as the driving force behind the events. How well is this point being received on the left coast? Have they asked for any changes to the story or characters?
