I never let laying Hens hatch Vince. But I use to hatch out Banny chicks . I always kept them away from the grown hens or they would peck the chicks eyes out. chickens are a cruel critter. TFK

The chicks have begun to hatch.


Momma number 1 is currently with 2 hatchlings. 3 others have hatched but momma or another has head pecked them dead.

There is only one thing worse than a egg sucking dog. That would be a egg sucking snake. Or just a snake. Kill that SOB. And don't tell me they kill mice. Get a barn cat.

That's why you need a few freeroaming barn cats. They will keep the snakes and moles cleared out!
