with all due respect, i faced the cans at my grocery store job in high school. Grocery stores been doing this for a long time.
They spread the stuff out to help make the store look full. Has something to do with psychology and crap like that. people would much rather shop at a 'full' store than an empty one... even if they had the same items said person was buying.
