Normal everyday working guy, married kids and even some grands. Though I have always been a bit prepared for a rainy day this series woke me up to the fact it might last a whole lot longer and I might need more than some soup and a raincoat.

Hi Mdprepper, welcome to our corner of the Internet from south central New Mexico. I would be willing to bet that my weather is better than yours today. Having grands is great, isn't it? I have a dozen from Florida to Washington state.
Like you, this series woke me up. Now I carry a GHB with me whenever I leave the house.

Hello, you mentioned kids and grandkids, so I respectfully suggest that you know more than you realize - prepping is like having a well-stocked diaper bag - it's not just about what you know you will need, but what, with a little thought, you might need.

And the soup and raincoat are still useful!
