We have to push limits, it's us. And it gives Tex something to fuss about.

I am very proud of my (adopted) home state and that my daughters are true GRITS.

And Florida. bless its heart! You cannot say that whenever something truly bizarre shows up on the news, your first thought is not "betcha that's in Florida!"

And I think this thread needs to be pushed beyond its limits, as W.Lynn mentioned, because why not.

This segment brings to mind a local girl named Dana Loesch who is a conservative radio talk show host who is now at The Blaze and is syndicated. Everyday she does a "Florida Man" segment where she reads headline news stories about bizarre events involving "Florida Man". There are some wild things happening involving Florida men!

Jim consider yourself sufficiently welcomed. Three pages of groveling for a Florida retiree is ridiculous. He isn't some sort of rare species, people. It isn't as if knee socks, velcro shoes and bermuda shorts are some sort of fashion statement. You people are embarassing yourselves. Keep encouraging these people and this place will become some sort of internet hub for blackmarket viagra and bikini cut Depends.

Jim, once again, welcome to the board. We look forward to getting to know you, but try not to pay any attention to all these morons who are so desperate for friendship they will infiltrate the nursing homes just for a little conversation. Some of these people have so few friends they have resorted to blue hair just to try and fit into a group that can't outrun them.

If we cannot define a simple word like greatness, how can we ever hope to use it as a measuring stick to know when we have risen beyond average?

Tex, if such a thing exists (I have doubts,) I really don't want to know why you'd know about it. Been chasing the cougars?

Hmm, nope. Don't answer, don't want to know.

Did somebody, somewhere, mention being a "parrothead"?

Where else ya gonna find the Coral Castle, the Key West Fantasy Fest, the retirement home for sideshow performers,, and people eating face? Um, ya might wanna skip that last one. And shrimp and grits.

You can get shrimp & grits, mardi gras, bonfires, fried okra, drunken revelry, and rennie girls in corsets/men in kilts in my area, so no big loss.
