    Has anyone done this? Looking for ideas for the fall when my garden is done. Would like to dehydrated some food. Thanks

        Tried making my own "in-bag" MRE's, unfortunately there was some bacteria left in the mac and cheese and the bag turned into a balloon. Good news, the foodsaver bag was strong enough to not explode outright. I think it had to do with the fact that I used a regular boil method after I sealed it instead of pressure canning as recommended for any non-acidic food.

        Take my advice on this, use a pressure canner if you're going to do this. When you've finished the canning process, place the bag after you've dried it off in a couple layers of paper bags.
        You're still walking free. Enjoy it while you can.
