OF, you nailed it. One of our early members, and the person responsible for pretty much all of the Ham radio information in Going Home, worked for a certain Defense Contractor at the time. I think that he may have influenced the author in things other than ham radio.

Yup, blew up the 318 and found it was about the same money to put a Cummins Turbo diesel as it was to rebuild and it gets 3x's the fuel mileage as the old gasser and put in a 50 gallon fuel tank, I should be good to get to point B
