    Charlie's Requiem Series

I just finished the 4th book of the Charlie's Requiem series by AA and Walt Browning. Excellent reading, recaps some of the events in AA's books from another perspective. Overall, a very enjoyable series of books.

I've got it, but the Mrs is currently reading it. I'm looking forward to it.

It'll probably be a while since #4 just came out a few weeks ago.

I don't think that either of you were on survivalistboards when our pal AA started writing "Going Home". One day he posted "I've got a story that I'm going to start writing". He would post a chapter or two as time, writing and editing allowed. Usually within 30 minutes of him posting, someone would be posting, complaining about the grammer, spelling, etc, and yet still begging for "moar buk".

Kick, I like to think that we were the energizing force that set AA's creative juices flowing. Either that, or we got him to keep throwing us bones to get us to STFU. Either way, it seems to have worked out.

    How you doing, buddy?

I am remarkably well my friend. It's really good to see you around. Since I don't expect you to read everything since your last visit, I retired from the shop on Oct 1. I've kept busy getting neglected projects done around the house. I'm probably working just as hard, but am enjoying life a lot more. How have you been brother?

I'm pretty sure he kept cranking out chapters so we would shut up. Ahh, for the good old days. I seem to remember lots about paste and window licking too.

They replaced the short bus with a Prius. Sad.
