The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office says investigators found "destruction devices" in a home while executing a search warrant.
Guy found with allegedly three bombs, google earth shots of a water plant and schools, handwritten note saying he wants to burn the world, and an "arsenal" of guns. LEOs searched his house on a tip that he had child pornography. No charges for child pornography yet. Was arrested, went to advisory court, then bonded out on $20,000 bond. Is now on a 72 hour psych hold at a local facility.
So, our phones at the jail are being blown up. $20,000 is the bond that was set for two charges of possessing an explosive, third degree felonies; this is the bond per the bond schedule that is set by the district State Attorney. The judge that saw him for advisory court did not change the bond. So, of course everyone is calling/posting about the jail/sheriff being out of their minds for releasing the guy on that bond when there's literally nothing legal we can do except what we did.
10-12 hours is "a few drinks with a friend." For serious drinking, you plan the budget ahead, pre-mix things, spend a day making sure your ice supply is sufficient, seriously plan when to start, lay in the snack supply, how many days you plan to be useless, and how many days recovery time. I haven't done that kind of drinking in a while.
The meteor shower is supposed to be pretty cool Fri & Sat nights after midnight. I'm going to drink beer. It's been that kind of week...If I'm still awake at midnight, I'll look up
My ole pappy always said "if you ain't in bed by midnight, ya might as well go home"

W, I plan exactly the same way. Trying to minimize the first aid necessity. So far the only casualty was the afternoon, while I attempted to hook up the wii game system. Pretty sad, considering we're both IT veterans - but this IS A/V and not IT. I have several "chicken shoot" games that are good handgun training... but we WERE successful... now I'm simply hoping my signal is strong enough and bandwidth adequate to play some movies.

And yet, if you and the guys "took care of the problem" like the callers claim they want, those same folks calling would be the first to be screaming about the "judge , jury and executioner police force", and rightfully so. Glad they caught him before anything happened .
