    Say what you want about the Amish. Their encounters with state interference
    Usually end with them being left alone. This puts them among a very few
    Identifiable groups that can make the same brag.

    I've taken to using the word, "Amish" for what they seem to be: Christians who don't negotiate.

    When the state mandated cancer "treatment" for their
    Daughter these Amish parents were no-shows to the negotiating
    Table . . . and they prevailed. As most conventional cancer "treatments" are
    A death sentence this parental victory has had predictable results: Their
    Daughter is still alive.

    The Amish have a religious exemption from the Social Security system.

    That victory led to yet another: Exemption from Obamacare:

    ( ... Amish, Mennonites, Hutterites) would likely qualify for an exemption from the health insurance requirement, as they have an established history of declining Social Security benefits and making their own provisions for dependent members
    This "established history" thing works well for them.
