I just ordered a pair of the Duluth firehose cargo pants in the size that *should* fit well. After choking on the price for a minute, and paying shipping, I put my card away. If I like them, then I will look to get them locally, or when there is a sale price.

The pants have arrived. They fit well, and I love the pockets. To be fair, I did order from the men's selections, on the issue of, I don't trust clothing companies to give similar quality and features in women's items.

Now to wear them, and see what it takes to wear them out. These could be my new go-to brand if they hold up.

I just got my order of the Fire hose Flex bonded fleece jeans. They fit true to waist size and length with room so I'm thinking they changed their sizing around a little bit. I also ordered one of the Burly weight fleece shirts and am super impressed with it. Duluth is becoming my go to for clothing.

I've had great luck with Duluth for pants. Because of where I live, it's raining all the time so water resistance is a plus. They make or made a water resistant style a few years ago that can deal with knees in dirt for gardening, hiking, horseback riding, ATV'ing and anything else I can throw at them and still look good enough to go to the store. As a bonus, you can pre rinse them with a garden hose to get the mud off. They stay basically dry inside when you have a rain jacket and boots on so no complaints from me.

Regarding the OP, you're a Veterinarian, not a stock trader on Wall Street. Wear what's comfortable. My vet wears scrubs.

    Kk,
Hate scrubs. Despise them. They feel like I am in pajamas. When some goofy cat goes ape or a dog starts clawing at your leg, there is zero protection. They also like to come untied and start sliding down at the most inopportune times! My hairy butt does not need to be hanging out. Lol.

People are funny about it. Wear too nice of clothes, you are a high falutin jerk. Too casual, and you don't know your business. Just like cars. Drive my old beater and I must not know what I am doing cause we are going broke. Drive a nice truck, I am charging too much and gouging clients. You can not win.

Redman, did you ever decide on what to do for the office ?

On a side note, I saw a woman walking across a parking lot in purple scrubs, top and bottom. DO NOT DO THAT! The immediate image that came to mind was the Grimmace. And she wasn't a large woman .

I have an Epi-pen now. A friend gave it to me. He REALLY wanted me to have it. It was his dying wish.

For now, I am sticking with the dockers or cargo pants of some sort. The duluth are nice, but the price hurts.

Between m being pregnant, k's legal trouble, house repairs, the totaled vehicle, etc. we are trying to keep expenses low. I need to find a vehicle asap. We would love to have another expedition, but they are hard to find in good condition and in our price range. Suburban seem more plentiful, but the one big thing m hates is that the seats won't fold flat. We use that feature a good bit.

We have a couple of girls that look like the jolly green giant in the scrubs I provide.
I actually put uniforms to a non binding referendum. The girls all liked scrubs I provided over jeans or whatever that they had to provide. Personally, I like the team feeling and look too. I also don't have to worry with ass cracks or cleavage issues that way. You would not think that would be an issue at work, but some of them dress like they are clubbing if you let them.

We just had another girl quit. She missed a week of work for illness. Handbook reads you have to have a doctor's excuse for more than 2 days. She refused to go to the doctor and turned in her resignation instead. Wtf is wrong with people?

I fired a mechanic for that a while back and unemployment accepted his claim saying if we were going to require a doctor's excuse we had to pay for the office visit...

I know everyone is different but if I'm out for a week there was a hospital or ambulance involved somewhere.
